Callaway County Jail Roster
The official Callaway County inmate records starting point is the sheriff's roster gateway. It splits the local jail data into two choices: current inmates and releases from the last 48 hours. The current Callaway County Jail roster lists people in custody now. The 48-hour release roster lists people who left the jail during that short release window.
The roster is free and does not require an account. It is hosted on the sheriff's own site, not on a state court page or a private database. The public controls include a name search, a Show All option, links for Name and Date sorting, Current and Released tabs, newest-to-oldest and oldest-to-newest sorting, and pagination when the list is longer than one page. A View Profile link opens the individual booking profile. The sheriff's disclaimer says the roster is provided as a convenience and is not certified, so important release, bond, or court information should be confirmed with the jail or court.
Callaway County has one local intake path for jail custody. The Callaway County Sheriff's Office states that the county jail receives people arrested in the county by sheriff deputies, city police, state troopers, and other agencies, and that no municipalities in the county operate their own city jails. That matters because a search for Fulton, Holts Summit, or Auxvasse local jail custody normally leads back to the county jail roster when the person was booked into local detention.
Use Callaway County Inmate Search
The Callaway County inmate search works best when the custody stage is clear. Use the current roster first if the person may still be in the jail. Use the release roster if the person recently bonded, was transferred, or was otherwise released. If neither list has the person, the next step depends on whether the issue is an older booking record, a court case, a state sentence, a federal case, or immigration custody.
- Open the roster choice page and choose either Current Inmates or 48 Hour Release based on the expected custody status.
- Use Search By Name for a direct lookup. If the spelling is uncertain, use Show All and sort by Date to scan recent bookings.
- Open View Profile from the roster result. The booking number is the best local identifier for that jail event.
- Compare the booking date, arresting agency, charges, and bond field before relying on a match with a common name.
- If the person is not listed, call the jail, check Case.net for a court case, or use the DOC, BOP, ICE, or VINELink channels that fit the custody type.
Callaway County Roster Fields
The roster controls are simple, but they cover both direct lookup and list browsing. A name search is useful when the spelling is known. Sorting by date is useful for same-day arrests, weekend bookings, or cases where a person may have been brought in by a city police department and booked under a slightly different name format.

Callaway County Inmate Profile
A Callaway County inmate profile is a booking record, not a full criminal-history report. The public profile inspected in the research showed a booking photo, booking number, demographic markers, arresting agency, booking date, charges, and bond. It did not show housing unit, court date, warrant number, full physical description, date of birth, judge, or detailed hold flags. Those missing fields may require a jail inquiry, court record search, or public-records request if they are open and held by the agency.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Mugshot | Booking photo shown on the list or profile when available. |
| Booking # | Local seven-digit booking identifier for the jail event. |
| Age | Age in years as displayed by the roster. |
| Gender | Single-letter gender marker. |
| Race | Single-letter race marker. |
| Arresting Agency | Agency that brought or caused the person to be booked. |
| Booking Date | Date and time the jail recorded the booking. |
| Charges | Charge code and charge text, with multiple counts listed separately. |
| Bond | Public bond amount field, subject to court and hold changes. |
| Release Date | Shown on released-list entries during the 48-hour release period. |
Booking charges can change after the prosecutor reviews reports. Filed court charges and later dispositions should be checked through Case.net or the Circuit Clerk. Booking photos for current and recently released people are covered in more detail on the Callaway County jail mugshots page.
Callaway County Booking Records
Booking starts when an arresting agency brings a person to the Callaway County Jail or when a person surrenders on a warrant or charge. Intake can include property inventory, photo and fingerprint processing, medical and medication screening, and initial classification. Personal property is inventoried and secured, and possible weapons or illegal items may be routed to the arresting officer, sheriff evidence staff, or the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney.
The public roster normally reflects the visible booking event after the jail system updates. It does not show every internal intake detail. The sheriff's jail information also notes that existing medications are inventoried but are not dispensed without jail physician approval, and that phone or video access is unavailable during lockdown periods. A booking number can help when asking about a person, but the jail remains the verification point for live custody status.

Callaway County Jail Contact
Use the sheriff's office for live custody questions, older booking-record requests, and in-person inquiry when the online roster does not answer the question. Administrative hours differ from the 24-hour non-emergency phone line, so routine records questions are better handled during office hours when possible.

Callaway County Jail Visits
Visitation at the county jail is based on NCIC phone and video services. Remote video visits require an account and have a fee. The sheriff's visitation information also allows one free lobby kiosk visit per week when scheduled through NCIC at least 24 hours in advance. Jail staff do not pass messages to inmates, and phone or video use can be revoked by jail administration.
| Topic | Callaway County Jail Rule |
|---|---|
| Phone vendor | NCIC Inmate Communications. |
| Telephone calls | Collect-call format during normal inmate schedules. |
| Remote video | Account required at ncic.com; fee applies. |
| Lobby video | One free sheriff office lobby kiosk visit per week. |
| Scheduling | Lobby visit must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. |
| Lockdown | No phone or video access during lockdown periods. |
| Messages | Jail staff are forbidden from passing messages. |
Personal mail is much stricter than many people expect. Incoming personal mail must be a postcard, with legal mail treated separately. Mail should be addressed to the inmate in care of Callaway County Jail at the P.O. Box. The jail does not accept magazines, books, newspapers, packages, cards, or monetary items by mail for the inmate trust fund.
Callaway County Bond Records
The roster bond field is a useful starting point, but it is not the same as a court order or a release guarantee. Callaway cash bonds are accepted only as cash or certified bank check when allowed by the court. The jail does not conduct credit or debit card transactions for cash bond. A surety bond must follow the 13th Circuit Court rules or the rules of the court of venue, and jail staff cannot recommend a bonding agent.
Money for jail accounts uses separate channels. The sheriff information lists a Keefe-operated lobby kiosk, internet deposits through AccessCorrections, phone deposits at 1-866-345-1884, and approved package orders through Access Securepak. Confirm custody before sending funds because release, transfer, discipline, or a move to DOC custody can change the correct account system.
Note: A bond amount on the roster may not clear another hold, detainer, warrant, probation issue, DOC transfer, ICE detainer, or federal custody matter.
Callaway County Custody Records
Not every inmate lookup belongs in the sheriff roster. The county roster covers local pretrial and short-sentence custody at the Callaway County Jail. A sentenced person who moves into Missouri Department of Corrections supervision should be searched through the Missouri DOC Offender Search. Federal custody is checked through the BOP Inmate Locator. Immigration detention is checked through ICE ODLS. VINELink may help with victim or family notification where records are available.
| Custody Type | Where to Search | Key Limit |
|---|---|---|
| County jail | Callaway current roster and 48-hour release roster | Current custody and short release window only. |
| State prison, probation, parole | Missouri DOC Offender Search | Active supervised offenders; discharged offenders are excluded. |
| Federal prison | BOP Inmate Locator | Federal inmates from 1982 to present. |
| Immigration detention | ICE ODLS | Detainee locator, not a booking-photo gallery. |
| Notifications | VINELink | Availability depends on participating systems and record match. |
No official source confirmed a Callaway-specific sheriff app for inmate records. Missouri Sheriff Connect exists as a statewide or multi-sheriff app listing, but it was not confirmed by the Callaway sheriff site as the official roster channel.
Older Callaway Inmate Records
When a booking is no longer on the current or 48-hour release roster, the fallback is a Missouri Sunshine Law request or a direct inquiry to the office holding the record. For sheriff-held booking records, contact the Callaway County Sheriff's Office and describe the person, approximate booking date, booking number if known, arresting agency, and the records requested. Ask for open portions if part of a record is closed. The Missouri Attorney General provides sample Sunshine Law request language, and RSMo 610.100 governs arrest and incident records.
Court filings after arrest are handled separately by Case.net and the Circuit Clerk. Sentenced state custody belongs to the DOC. Federal and immigration systems have their own locators. Keeping those channels separate reduces false negatives, especially in Callaway County because the county jail and Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center are both in Fulton but belong to different custody systems.
